Question 15 Vaccine Immunity and Breakthrough Cases
What is the rate of breakthrough cases (defining breakthrough cases as people who had been vaccinated and still had COVID)? And how long does the protection from the vaccine last, the CDC is now recommending a booster. Cleveland Clinic as well as John Hopkins and the CDC state that the natural immunity could be lifetime, but most studies concluded after 8 months, stating more studies are needed to be completed, yet doctors from our hospital continue to state that after three months there is no lasting immunity and vaccines should be administered.
