Jamie won the Pipeline Masters in 2004, when he was 21 years old. The Banzai Pipeline is only 100 yards from his house. He's one of the most respected surfers in the history of the sport, and a true champion.

How cool to walk out of your front door and then into a Pipeline Masters contest where the vibe on the beach and on the water is pure love. What a happy life. Jamie definitely nailed it.

And then to share his psyche with all the young ones is just icing on the cake. So nice to see him passing his love for the ocean on to the next generation.

I’m sure someone will show up to criticize you, being the Internet and all, but you seem to be doing all the right things in life.

I met Jamie through his dad Mick in the 90’s when he was a teenager. He was soft spoken with a quiet confidence. I was able to negotiate his first sunglasses sponsorship and was stoked to do so. He has grown into just an overall good dude with an extroverted fun outlook on life. Well done Jamie, Mick.
