This is so very awesome :-) you've inspired me to go out and get a whittling kit, just because you make it look so easy even a city girl like me could probably do it! Although I'm pretty sure my skills would be nowhere close to yours

I'd love the chance to sit around and shoot the breeze and carve with you! I made another ball in a cage today, my fifth or sixth I think. It's such a great way to relax and let my mind wander. I find that the more round I make my ball before releasing it from the wood the easier it is. I do everything but the final details with a palm skew chisel. I personally have an easier time than with a knife. My next carving is going to be a jumbo sized triple ball in a cage for my wife. She's an elementary school teacher and it will make a great hall pass for her classroom. I really enjoy your videos, I'm gonna go watch another one right now!!
