For anyone confused, North Korean and South Korean are not separate languages. They're still the same Korean language but with very different accents, words, and influences. Despite that, most South Koreans can still understand North Korean and vice versa, including myself :).

i'm south korean and i 100 percent understand north korean. it means they are exactly same language - just a dialect. there are differences some vocabularies introduced after world war II, such as western based words, but after several days of study it doesn't matter to understand north korean's speaking.
the difference between two koreans is just like the difference between american and british english.

I like that the romanization in NK is actually as it is and easy to read. SK romanization is a nightmare.

As a Korean, I can say that the two languages are completely identical except for pronunciation.

First of all, both languages are based on the Seoul dialect.

Regarding the Romanization system (for example, Tasǒt, Daseot), South and North Korea originally used the same system, but South Korea later revised it.

Lastly, the comparison of the Lord’s Prayer is incorrect. The North Korean version is the Protestant version, while the South Korean version is the Catholic version, meaning they are entirely different translations.

The North Korean Lord’s Prayer cited in the video is from the Common Translation Bible (공동번역성서), which is also used by some Protestant churches in South Korea. Except for a few words, it is completely identical to the North Korean version.

I had no idea there was an alternative romanization form for Korean. The NK version is so much easier to read along.

Korea was a single unified country for centuries since its inception until 1950 so of course they are the same language

Some north korea's words were influenced by China and Russia, so both korean languages have differrent words.

Both the standard languages of North and South Korea are based on the Central Korean dialect because that's what's spoken in Pyongyang and Seoul so they aren't that different
If you compare the other dialects like the Jeju dialect for example they will be more different
