I just tried the Alcon Dailies Total 1 for astigmatism! It's comfortable, visually sharp clear but it progressively gets drier as the day goes AND it is very hard to remove.

Best tip was to moisturise contacts before removal! A question: is drying iut of lense helped if eye is moisturised or lense, with solutionprior to insertion?

I have severe ( I mean severe) dry eyes. I wore contacts since I was 40, and I use restasis, other artificial eye gels.I’ve did them all ( lol) Would you think I’d be a candidate for contacts??My doctor is awesome and all, but she said there’s nothing more to help. Thank you.😊

I have learned so much from you I thought I took good care of my lenses now that I got educated from you I will be much more careful and i wasn’t aware of all the eye infections you could get if you nap in your contacts for 15 minutes. I will never ever do that again. Ouch and dry eye hurt I didn’t know about eye drops for contact lenses. I wear both contacts and glasses contacts are the best I thane thick and heavy glasses I get indentations in my nose I get pain from the weight of my prisms.

I use Hydrasense night gel eye drops as my dry eye and rewetting drop.... Contact lens safe. It's also completely preservative free too, an added bonus.

Best tip YER EYE DOC! Every CL wearer MUST get a CL checkup at least once a year. Eye disease happens unbeknownst to you.

My elderly mother had cataract surgery some two years ago and has experienced severe dry eye since. Artificial tears, gel and even Ikervis eye drops have proven only slightly beneficial, prompting me to believe that only punctal plugs remain as an option. Have there been any studies on scleral daily contacts for dry eye, or would these merely exacerbate the problem? Thank you!
