Romania first came to my attention through its Olympic women’s gymnastics team. Best wishes to all Romanians.

As an IT engineer from Cluj Napoca I can say thar we are not even close to Silicon Valley. We are an outsourcing hub, not an product inovation hub. We have a lot of good technical people, but very few product startups.

Not the first time when Romania was in top of the world in new technology….in ‘60s and ‘70s or even early’80s, Romania was one of the few countries on this planet to produce computers….not to be confused with PC.

I will be honest, I was surprised with the lack of technology when I gone into Portugal, but I wont attack Portugal with this, they have done at least a giant great job with their infrastructure, their train system are highly greater than ours .

I know that the IT sector has gone crazy in the last few years in Romania, especially in Cluj, Bucharest, and Iasi. It s also true hat we have the most it specialists per capita in EU. but to say that we have become the most technological country in Europe is a bit too much 😂

The reasearch done for this video was so superficial. "Cluj-Napoca is the biggest IT hub in Romania".
What data did you use for that statement?
Official gov data say that are 22k IT workers in Cluj and 96k IT workers in Bucharest, making Bucharest's IT sector 4 times bigger than Cluj's.

There are many inaccuracies here, starting with where the largest companies are headquartered. For example, Bitdefender and UIPath, to mention only a couple, were founded in Bucharest, not Cluj. But everybody is very happy to see that Cluj, Iasi, Brasov, Timișoara, Oradea are doing their best to catch up.
