Hey Keith, great idea. The one thing any boat needs is more storage.
It's funny that the boat manufacturers make the lids, but don't install them when building.
That fella has a good-looking boat. And look there, now you got you another idea for your boat.
Good that they let you go and jilm that install. Really appreciate all that you do to put up these videos. Keep up the great work, brother.

neat job, came up well!
however, for anyone attempting anything similar, maybe some sealant under the lip of the new lid surrounds would be good to consider.
also, watch out when putting stainless fastenings straight into ally.
strongly suggest using a product like tef-gel or duralac on the stainless to minimize corrosion caused by dissimilar metals.

I don’t know that boat but if it’s like a lot of boats that’s partly structural and partly seat .
But go ahead with it.

You can find eva foam cheaper than seadeck sells it for. Same stuff they just market it and put a markup on it. You can find it with the peel and stick or plain back. I suggest getting the plain and use a good contact adhesive to glue it down. The stuff I put in my flat bottom is over 10 years old and beside a lil fading of the black to a gray color is still stuck down hard.

Would have (wud ah) thought a grinder would be the tool of choice for the cutting (cuttin). Nice Fabin even though you didn't use DeWalt tools!
