I've been thinking about upgrading to a class d amp for a long time. I think the time is right...not with the Sabaj shown here, of course, he'll be playing on my desktop system. Maybe you have tips for me... Purifi, Benchmark, Atmasphere, or the new ncorex...?

Realy liking my new class D Audiophonics Purify amplifier. Plenty of power for classical music and metal. It delivers instant power when music demands it. Becouse of the low noise floor I can listen at low volume and still get enough dynamics and detail. Also, it's mesmerising how it stays composed even at very high volume. Another improvement I noticed compared to Sansui Alpha that I used before is cleanness of reverb and sustain. Easily hearable in the Sound of Silence by Pat Metheny.
Speed and control is another huge asset of this amp. Since I got this amp I fell in love with classical music. Lintons provide good timbral presentation but they lacked in speed and detail. Not anymore. Purifi is a great match.

Well done demo. Love the Celestion 3 you got there. I used to own a pair of seal box version. The speaker that changed my view of infinite baffle design which unfortunately was obsolete in favor of bass reflex designs. Since then, only NHT was making them. I felt fortunate enough to be able to hear them because infinite baffle/seal box design offers the most quick tuneful midbass you could ever hear.

Hi Mike, i found it very nice for the price, indeed, we miss some resolution as you said, but it works fine, and personally i really liked your second demo with your celestion . Class D is always special, but with the last technology with my limited knowledge, it seems that they are getting better and better and surpassing classical amps .They can provide and do very good bass, very fast also . I have that unit and really like it. What you get for the price is amazing really - the features, balanced inputs, remote, and the sound quality and power (although it's not high end it's certainly good). I feel the sound is a bit dry and maybe a bit lean, but that's a matter of preference. I think in the future i'll try a warmer sounding source or speakers to try and get the most out of it.

- one brand that seems very interesting is German AVM. I would love to see one of their class D amps compared in a similar way in your system. I hope that this will happen one day ;)

You can try Nord Three 1ET400A MKII Dual Mono Stereo Amp or Nord One NC1200DM Signature Stereo Amp.

Tried it against Nord One SE NC500DM MKII Dual Mono Stereo and the Sabaj is as good as the hypex based Nord.
