I immediately stopped watching as soon as they eliminated someone because 'everyone needs therapy' which was then followed by an ad for Better Help. Both criticising someone for not wanting to have therapy and sending incorrect messages to thousands of people for monetary gain is outrageous and shameful!

As a mental health clinician - these girls have a really close minded perspective of mental health support. Therapy is not necessary for everyone, and for some can be extremely harmful when other supports would be more beneficial. Even suggesting that EVERYONE needs some form of mental health support at every stage of their life is concerning.

I’m a strong advocate for therapy and destigmatising it. Still don’t believe that everybody MUST use it but that everyone CAN benefit from it, so it should be easily accessible to all. They’re still very young and are in a group of like minded girls who seem to agree on almost everything~there’s no one to play devils advocate on the subject and challenge them to expand their views. That breeds a little bit of ignorance sometimes. A lot of people have very healthy outlets and don’t currently ‘need’ therapy. They’re a lovely group of girls regardless and are free to solely build bonds, with people who completely align with their current values 🤷🏿‍♀️
