Installing Windows the Arch Linux Way

Installing Windows strictly through the Command Line is an important tool to have. If windows changes the installer or out of box experience, you can bypass any changes with this guide!

Pro Tip: I usually make a 350MB to 450MB EFI partition, because in case I need to dual boot or even add bootable recovery environments.
And I also create the 128MB MSR partition before the main data partition.
Convert GPT
Create part efi size=350
Format quick FS=fat32 Label=System
Ass letter=g
Create part MSR size=128
Create part PRI
Format quick FS=NTFS label=WinDrive
Assign letter=C

But great info, I didn't know how to deploy Windows from the command line, I might use it a lot.

I usually have a premade image with all of my stuff, as a backup (Acronis or Aomei) and then just patch in the drives from a windows pe with:
dism /image:c:\ /add-driver /recurse

The video title is brilliant! Any Windows box I *have* to manage, I would create a "custom" wim, and this is pretty much how I would install - though likely scripted. Having said that, never thought of it as being the Arch way, or anything like that. Thank you for the enlightened perspective.

What blew my mind was that if you don't enter a password for a local account, you skip the, frankly, idiotic security questions — I'm happy that I know this now, but this tad bit of knowledge would have come really handy just a couple of weeks ago when I needed to set up 3 different installations. With all this intensifying Microsoft idiocy, I'm so happy I switched to Linux as my base system 15+ years ago.
