You will NEVER forget the Island of SENJA, Norway

Visit at least once. This spectacular island in the north is considered a "Norway miniature" because it encompasses all the landscapes of Norway in one island: jagged mountains, fjords, forests, hills, farmland and villages. Tourists are back in Norway and they seem to love the breathtaking island of Senja. This could be your best choice of destination when you visit Norway, certainly if you go to Northern Norway. The "land of the midnight sun" is the place to be during the summer. You will never forget the island of Senja, Norway.

I visited the island in 2021, after visiting the North Cape. Sadly I had only rain, when I visited the Island. I knew about the Island before, a local, that I met on the internet, said to me that Senja is beautifuller than the Lofoten. I must say, I didn't visit the Lofoten yet, but it was even with rain, very impressive.
You have made nice videos of Norway, I just subscribed.
Greetings from The Netherlands 🇳🇱

Yes, it was certainly a wonderful place with stunning views but what a long way to travel in a day. Did you stay longer or at least spend the night somewhere? You certainly did get very close to the edge of the cliff or ridge at times - You never know how much might be jutting out with little land underneath!.I want to make sure you come back in one piece. Lol

The highest Mountain is Breitind. You see it to the right of Segla from your standing point.

Love the video, especially the drone shot. Much informative and enjoyable.

questions: Were biting bugs an issue? Did you see any spot to pitch a tent on your way up? Also, how far is the nearest water source from where you were at the foot of Segla? I'm thinking of camping in the meadows between Segla and Hesten.

There exists no such as 'Norway in miniature'. Regarding Senja: it is lacking skerries/archipelagos and mountain plateus.
I have also heard locals speak om Stord and Andøya as 'Norway in miniature'. Obviously the have not been around.
