It has foodpipe which transports food from mouth to stomach

You all are also correct but it is also worth mentioning that pharynx, along with Uvula, aids in the prevention of food from oropharynx to nasopharynx/nasal cavity, has nasopharyngeal tonsils/adenoids along with other tonsils which are the structures(sometimes called organs) of lymphatic tissue --->trap and filter microorganisms.
Involved in moisturisation and other accessory functions.❤

When we swallow food, cartilage called epiglottis closes to avoid choking of food in wind pipe.hence, wind pipe is closed and food is swallowed easily.

There is the opening of esophagus also i .e gullit from where food is transported to the esophagus

It is only because of epiglottis which guides food into food pipe and air into nasal cavity
