Silky Large Folding Saw Super Accel 21 (7.5).
Some time ago I saw a speed comparison on YouTube. I can't find the video anymore but I remember being impressed by silky's performance. So it naturally ended up on my Amazon wishlist. A few weeks later a got one for my birthday.

Despite the fact that the saw only cuts on a back stoke, it outcuts every saw I own and have ever used apart from a chain saw. Obviously. I have a bahco laplander folding saw, which I though was good until I got the silky. Now I simply can't use it. It gets stuck in resinous wood where the silky has no problem going through, and doesn't cut nearly as fast as the Japanese saw. Just take a look how quickly it went through a 6" of a seasoned ash wood.

The silky is the best saw on the market as far as I'm concerned.

I have the BigBoy 2000, and it's all and then some, but the compact saw I carry in the bush, is my Wicked Tough Saw, tough just like the name, and make easy of the work, two great saw's, but I really like my Wicked Tough Saw made by Wicked Tree Gear, when I go compact.

Ja od siebie mogę polecić Bahco Laplander - kosztuje jakieś 70zł. Nie jest to japońska piła, ale robi robotę - i to jak!

Fajny kanał :) Trochę dziwne, że tak mało widzów mimo używania angielskiego.

Simon - when you say "large" did you mean the Silky 170mm saw? I've now got 4 Silky saws - the PocketBoy 130 and 170, the GomBoy 240, and the BigBoy 2000 (at 360mm). The 170 is my most-used saw, however. Too bad I couldn't get these saws way back when I was an arborist - they would have made work so much easier!

In fact, one of my subscribers and I did 5 separate Saw Shootouts this year and you may have seen these. The Silky saws either won outright or tied for 1st place in any category they competed in. That means they beat out the BAHCO Laplander by a long shot. Other than my old TrailBlazer takedown bucksaw, Silky is all I use.

Just make sure you know how to use a pull-cut saw, though. Pull-cut-only saws take some getting used to but are wicked good when you get the hang of them.

we are always being told that americans are the only ones still using the imperial system of measurement, but this foreigner just measured in inches.
