Pocket chainsaw made into a saw buck works awesome and gives you leverage also. I agree, the wire saw sucks and the folding saw is always good if you have a vehicle of some kind, or a sled in the winter.

I prefer the folding saw, because to cut a log that isn’t rooted into the ground, you’ll have to cut with the chain coming up towards you. And that has tater obvious problems

Well lll! Would you not use the wire saw the same way you used the pocket chain saw. It works the same way if u don't make it into a worthless piece of stick. You would have same result with trying to be ridiculous with the chain saw as well. Oh yeah it was a commercial for pocket chainsaws. My bad

If you don't test the wire saw as intended, then don't test it. Why the dumb bow? To reduce friction is an excuse for an answer. Put the chain saw on a bow and then say how fast it goes.
