I’ve owned dozens of cars and most makes (including several Honda and Toyotas). My 2014 Mazda CX-5 2.5 liter with 185K miles has been the best of them so far. Such a solid machine and fun to drive.

Such an underrated brand. And they’re more fun to drive as well!

Older toyota like 2012 must have been made in the same factory as the Nokia 3310

We’ve got a Mazda 2, Mazda 3, Mazdaspeed MX-5, and a CX-3 - they’re all easy & inexpensive to maintain, and fun to drive.

I would buy a Japanese vehicle, but not a Korean vehicle.

Mazda is the most underrated car company imo. I would buy a Mazda over a Hyundai/Kia anytime

I have a 2002 Mazda protégé with 140, 000 miles and it runs like a singer sewing machine. Engine and trans original and I work on it myself when something goes out. Easy to work on and the parts are very reasonable because lots of aftermarket available. also there's wrecking yards in SoCal to get parts from cheap. very happy with my little car.

I own a 2012 Mazda3 and it's bulletproof. The thing has never once let me down. Sure, there are a few things that broke and I had to drive my mom's car for a week but I could have still driven my car. All in all, my car always starts and always drives every single time. I just figured it was wise to not drive with a broken shock...

Mazda is a hidden gem. They should be more popular than they are hoenslty. Rock solid and fun.

Love my 2019 CX-9! It has 136k on it and it runs like new. Only did oil changes and brakes since I've had it.

The reliability and low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) are almost hand in hand for the top Japanese producers (Toyota, Mazda, Subaru, Honda, Suzuki, Mitsubishi), making the brands' ranking orientative.
But the relevance comes when going for segment ranking of the best (most weight is in the high reliability and low TCO), like Mazda Miata/MX-5 (I am using my ND2 RF G-184 for track-days and nice weather) or Suzuki Jimny (the best small 4x4, that I use for difficult terrain) or Lexus UX 250h F Sport (leader of the subcompact entry luxury crossover), excellent for the city or for the hilly driving.

I've always liked Mazda, but you typically only hear about toyota or honda. I used to own a mazda protege, and that thing lasted through so much abuse

I'd like to see how Mitsubishi shows up on the list. I have owned Toyotas mostly all my life, but I wouldn't mind having a Honda or Mazda. Maybe subaru?

I’ve been a Mazda fanboy for a long time. My first was an RX-3 coupe with a manual. That car was a blast to drive, though with a 4 barrel carb on the rotary engine, it did not get great fuel mileage. Luckily, that was back when gas was less than a buck a gallon. Later I bought an ‘88 RX-7 convertible (manual shift of course). Fuel injected, so mileage a little better, but convertible was the bomb. Taught all 3 of my kids to drive stick on that car. Our current Mazda is my wife’s CX-5 turbo. Great mileage considering how much power is there. You can tell from the cars that I’m somewhat performance oriented in my car choices.

I was always a GM freak. Owned many vehicles. Toyota is my go to now. But I am about to trade on of our venzas for a mazda 6. Any domestic manufacturer cannot compete against Japanese quality. Just wait until they start making 2500, 3500 + series work trucks.

Not many Mazda dealers in my area, so thats a deal breaker for me when it comes to getting vehicles serviced, other wise i would probably own one, so currently i own a honda, toyota, 2 dodge trucks and a jeep cherokee

Mazda has a manufacturing facility here in the states. I know this because my CX-50 was made here. ❤️
