Well, all my Mexican, Native American Heritage are from Mexico but my family are from Texas but my native Mexican heritage comes from Mexico. I moved to Vegas from Houston and so many people asked where I was from but it was Mexicans that got offended when I said I was Tejano but never had that issue in Texas

I do have some tejano and norte mexicano heretige, even some south or middle Mexican because of my maternal grandfather. But most of my heritage comes from Spain. Especially because of my father and maternal grandmother. So if they ask me to go back home, especially if they use my forefathers as a metric, i will have to go back to Galicia, Spain. Which isn't really too bad, i love octopus.

I think it less to do with white washing and more to do with not knowing history, fam. If there is one thing I know most Americans don’t know their own history. I recently got interested in Texas history, before and after the Texas revolution.
