Thank you so much I forgot which two it was and I was looking on here in so many damn millennials made it seem so difficult to just Stick a damn wire in there and read the codes they were trying to hook up OBD2 connectors to it and all types of crap thank you again

One little thing. This is for the 1982 on. The 1981 and earlier have a different type of plug. Found that out trying to get a code off my 1981 {Pontiac Bonneville).

you could wire a tiny button somewhere that you push and hold, linking them 2 ports to read codes. and never have to do it from below. Or just by the 15-dollar OBD Bluetooth reader..

Very good video, I have a question I have a 94 Oldsmobile, the terminal has numbers, and the top right the wires are not next to each, same with top left, thank you

Y'know, I had a thought. Building an OBD2 to OBD1 converter that'll translate OBD1 codes to OBD2 scanners. However, I don't think that'll happen, but if I made that as a device, it'll be worth it.

Paperclip does not work for a 1994 Z28 Camero 5.7L V8 LT1. Only enters code reading mode with fans running.
