This is the Lockheed Martin F 35 Lightning 2. The search for a Stealth fighter that can take off and land in tight confines has lasted decades. Lockheed Martin began developing experimental "vertical rising" fighters as early as 1954.

This project evolved from the The Joint Strike Fighter J S F programmed which involved 14 countries and was the focus of the Department of Defense to develop a cost-effective, next-generation strike aircraft weapon system for the US Navy and Air Force.

The Harrier was one such aircraft that had achieved this engineering feat.
it’s technology was ahead of its time, but it has its flaws like every engineering marvel.

During vertical landing, it would turn over multiple times due to turbulence from its own downwash. On the tip of each wing, included a small roll control nozzle which had to be controlled manually by the pilot to stabilize the aircraft for safe landing.

However, the F35B Short Take Off and Vertical Landing system, STOVL was an improvement, combining vertical landing with long-range supersonic speed, resulting in a stealthy, lightning-fast fighter capable of carrying modern weaponry.

The 25mm cannon doesn't mean anything towards the other weapons it can carry. With the use of precision guided munations, such as the GBU-24, GBU-31, and the new advanced GBU-53
It can accurately hit targets from afar without the pilot having to worry they might get hit, performing a strafe run that is excessively dangerous in contested airspaces and can cause friendly fire incidents( i am looking at the A-10 over here) , thanks to its IFF and datalink systems. It can also carry long range missles like the AARGM-ER "HARM" and the newly introduced

Edit: at 4:00 the munations on the inner side of the wings are AGM-114(D?) Hellfires are laser guided missiles , used specifically by helicopters, not fixed wing aircraft, thought i understand the confusion since they look near similar to the SPEAR-lll

Second edit: 5:31 it says F-45A and F-35B . It was a typographical mistake which is fine .

Good video, but unfortunately all the F-35 models you've used are the F-35B model but slightly modified to highlight the major differences. Maybe you're using the old planned unified model from when it was still a prototype?

Only the F-35B model has the hunchback & shortened glass cockpit, to accomodate the main lift fan. Both the F-35A & the F-35C have the elongated cockpit for better visibility.

The F-35C also have its horizontal tails cut through a bit of the main wing's rear, for increased lift.

Thanks everyone for the video Correction.

Former Boeing here... great explanation in easy to understand terms. We always walked a tightrope discussing military projects to outsiders. If information is already in public sphere, you can talk, but are cautioned to keep it simple. Other topics might still be classified, if you don't know for sure, then don't talk about it. High Security Clearances give you access to things not to be shared in public. I remember the RAM on F-18. Most never knew that F-18 is actually a good stealth fighter as long as weapons or fuel tanks aren't hanging off the hard points on wings.

I’m surprised not more of this is classified! I’m going into the aerospace field and have been obsessed with this generation of fighters, so I definitely appreciate the awesome video here.

Some crazy engineering and iq to pull it off, and you guys are back with another cool video! Could you guys make one about the F-15 next please?

I love the details you put in the videos! Such as the parked helos, electronics and devices for crew convenience on the carrier deck of what looks like USS Nimitz on 2:55...
Or such as your logo printed into the surface of the plane..

the second video content I saw after the Ka-52, wow you made it so detailed in every part, and of course accompanied by an attractive and communicative simulation, you made it so easy to understand, next please make a video content about the Su-57 Felon (twin engine stealth aircraft) Russia) with the Rafale (French 4.5 generation twin-engine multirole/air superiorty aircraft, currently on large orders),
Thank you, and regards Bravo 👌👍👍

Hello, i am looking for laptop to learn Blender. How much RAM & VRAM is needed for this kind of animation? Will 16GB & RTX-3060 (6GB) be sufficient?

The Harrier was designed and built by Hawker Siddeley, a British company that also built the WW2 Hurricane fighter
