Shooting the Bowtech ss34 against the Revolt XL I was curious to see which one felt better and shot better. Back when the Revolt series first came out I loved that bow so It was only fitting to see how it performed up against the new SS34.

Can you do this review again but do the core SR and the SS34?

I recently became the proud owner of this bowtech SS34 Mossy Oak Country DNA in left-hand version!
What a pleasure it is to shoot with, and how easy it is to tune ;-) Mathews can learn something from that, especially during the covid period where the bow shops only worked online!

I have SS34 on performance mode @ 31.5" dl 70lb, still very smooth and shooting pretty flat. Super stoked ❤

Haxen I enjoy your videos and thanks for putting honest content out there. I just ordered an SS34 and am excited for it to come in. What release are you using in this video, looks like it would be an awesome hunting release to help avoid trigger punching. Thanks and keep up the good work!

I don't know... my EVO is really smooth to draw and dead at the shot, and pushes my 505gr arrows at 285fps. 29.5" draw at 70#. These new bows don't really impress me much, especially at their price points. Great looking bows though!

Haxen, thank you VERY MUCH for this video. I own the Revolt XL, and have a 31.5" draw length. Because of that fact, I've been wondering if the SS34 might better suit me, because it tops out at a 31.5" draw length, thus greater velocity is possible. Also, based on what you shared about the comparative arrow speeds and smoothness of the draw cycle, it is definitely worth looking into as an upgrade.

I wasn't crazy about the grip on my Revolt XL, and for that reason I added Bowmar's grip tape--which helped. Hopefully, the grip options on the SS34 will be better.

At 63, I'm an older guy, and bow drawing ease and smoothness really matter to me. I also like longer ATA bows, and Bowtech's Boss (36") was my first. Ultimately, it will come down to my impression upon shooting the SS34 at my local archery shop. And thanks to you, I feel it will be well worth the trip. As for my Revolt XL, I may end up selling it to a long-draw archer in need of a bow that will accommodate a 33" wing span.

It’s awfully hard to beat the SS34. It draws, holds, and shoots so good that mine ended up being a designated 3d/spot bow
