In this video, we will review how to update the BIOS on your DL580 Gen9 server. We will show you how to create a bootable USB with a program called RUFUS. Then you will visit the HPE support website to download the latest BIOS onto your USB. One thing to note about the DL580 Gen9, you do need an active service agreement with HPE to update your BIOS. An unfortunate hindrance that comes with the Gen9 servers. For Gen10 this is not the case, since they opened it to everyone, however if you are using a Gen 9 server you do need to pay for the service agreement to run updates in your server.
