Another media outlet that confuses introversion and extroversion with shyness and being outgoing. I am very much an introvert, but about half of these "signs" were completely off for me. Introverts can be outgoing and extroverts can be shy, because it's not about how you BEHAVE around people, rather how you FEEL around them.

I'm introvert and I definitely do not prefer one-on-one talk. I much prefer having another one to deal with this ice-breaking or small-talk stuff and then I'll just attach myself in the conversation. I hate starting a conversation, except if I know the person well.

I'm both an introvert and an extrovert. I have this thing where I can put on a mask and be very social and extroverted. But when I leave that place or those friends, I become introverted. Weird, but awesome.

Don't teachers and classmates always think you're not there then when they realize that you are they just say "I didn't realize you were there you are just so quiet". I hate it!

I am an introvert. Although I love people, love social activities and hanging out, and I can many times handle small talk, after awhile it becomes an energy drain to me. That is when I become tired, and withdraw, and the buzz around me becomes noise. The second I get home, I go directly to my bedroom and decompress... or just unwind after dealing with so many people. There are times when I just want to completely avoid conversation and I pretend I didn't see people, or I stay in my corner, but if forced, I can turn the outgoing side of me "on" so to speak. But as soon as I get home, I retreat to my sanctuary (my bedroom) and I feel like all is well in the world again. So no, introverted people are not shy by nature. We just need ample time alone because spending time with people drains our energy.

Yup, we introverts avoid small talk.  We usually prefer conversations with deeper meaning i.e. philosophical, political, big ideas.

basically, in my opinion, an introvert spends their time in "peace" alone, unlike extroverts who find "peace/harmony" with other people. 
this video totally debunks these facts since not all introverts are like that. we aren't all shy, don't all like being the center of attention, etc. 
what separates an introvert and an extrovert is how they "recharge" if you get what i mean. extroverts "recharge" in being around others, socializing, while introverts like to be alone to get some peace in mind. that doesn't mean we don't like being with people. 

but hell, what do i know. that's just my opinion. 
(and buzzfeed should do a video on extroverts, there's so much info on introverts already)
