The fact that you all make your animations with diverse skin tones, particularly Jesus having dark skin in this, is so impactful. As a Black American growing up in Southern evangelical churches, it has always been difficult for me to feel fully connected to the biblical characters especially Jesus, when everyone is always portrayed as fair skinned Europeans—doesn’t quite help with deconstructing the white savior complex haha. But small things like this helps as a guide to reframe my faith and see myself in Jesus, which is everything 🤍 thank y’all.

Knowing what I know about the first born and how often the second born is chosen over the first in the Biblical accounts (thanks to your amazing work on the podcasts) it makes me a little sad when I hear Christ is the "first born" of creation but I also feel happy knowing He willingly chose to lay down the crown/birthright for my sake. I didn't need to coerce his birthright from him(like Jacob did with Esau), nor did I lose my life because God chose me(as in the case of Abel). He offered it WILLINGLY. So I can be a co-inheritor with Him. HALLELUJAH!! 🙌🏽🙏🏽
