Jan Lisiecki, NCO – Chopin: Piano Concerto No. 1 in E-Minor, Op. 11: III. Rondo (WPD performance)

For this concert opening the 2022 season in Oslo, the Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki is joined by the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra to play-conduct Chopin’s two beguiling piano concertos – continuing his Chopin journey after his acclaimed DG recording of the nocturnes. Preceding the concertos, the orchestra gives its signature memorized performance of Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony, plunging you directly into the heart of this blisteringly powerful music. The concert is performed in the Aula of the University of Oslo – a ceremonial hall adorned with murals by Edvard Munch.

I am an absolute lover of Chopin. I have the score of his 2 concertos as a present from a friend - I came across this recording...listened and watched over and over and again - my absolute favorite for years - feels like my heart is jumping with every sound and beat. Undescribably - Thank you Jan Lisiecki - you captured my heart and my mind and I cannot stop listening and watching - I read about Poland, Chopin etc - and now I experience you.... I am stunned🎉🎉🎉🎉

I feel like Lisiecki plays Chopin like its MEANT to be played. IMO most pianists playing Chopin are pressing the keys technically flawlessly but don't actually give the composition what it needs. Lisiecki breaths a soul into it.

To Gramophone Channel, I have subscribed namely to hear this Prince of Pianio called Jan Lisiecki.
However, many other programmes and channels appear to obstruct my choice. Why?

Another idea is to have the possibility of listening automatically by pressing a button saying "see iit" all. Looking forward to a reply best regards.
