Shes 10000% living through her daughter though. Massive. My mother is exactly like this and if I never went against her and what she would try to put on me, I’d be in the same boat. It’s sad that parents like this kind of take away their own child’s ability to become an individual, and figure out on their own who they truly are, not who their parents want and basically train them to be. Either way, having a mother like this just really creates a fake loving mother/daughter relationship between the two. I’m not saying that they don’t love each other like normal mothers and daughters do but kind of like her daughter may feel that it’s all for show and needs to keep that up and then at that point she may feel like “does my mom love me or what has come of me? What if I don’t produce what she needs me to?” It’s not being ungrateful for the opportunities her mom has provided and helped her with but in my opinion, money and fame does not mean more than self worth and security. Obviously, we do not know what goes on behind the scenes and I could be completely wrong but I’m just going off of my own experience and others I’ve talked to. I believe that this makes her daughter very codependent and it sucks because more likely than not, that codependency will carry on to romantic relationships. Which absolutely sucks and is a whole other rant. In the end, I really think this girl grew up and finally sees who her mom actually is (hopefully) but is absolutely stuck. Unfortunately, I feel like she believes she owes everything to her mother and that woman does not let her forget it. :/
