Cotton is grown in soil with water. Soil and water often have lead and/or arsenic and/or other contaminants, which are absorbed into the plant. Regulations regarding soil and water inspections and remediation (if necessary) would help.

Cotton is sprayed with glyphosate. Why does that doctor sound an idiot to me???. Sidenote: tampon companies are NOT required to list all ingredients on packaging or website, or really at all. Food for thought

Anybody who buys tampons because they're organic has serious reality problems. Kind of snobbish, too.
