I did this when I was 14, and poured STP oil treatment all over the circuit board. Success!

But there was no way to clean it ...

It probably lost connection with the transmitter, have your antenna come above the water level and shouldn't have any issues

it stopped because the transmitter loses signal when it’s fully submerged. nothing wrong with truck happens to most RCs
