Honestly, for a better comparison, you should have controlled for the gender. Either both male or both female. Gender has an effect on the way the brain works.

My first instinct was "white woman = democrat", "asian man = republican" but then they said she was from North Dakota and he was from L.A., so that made me question my initial thoughts.

The main problem is that it was a liberal white woman and conservative asian man. All three of those things (Liberal, White, and woman) play a role in the brain so it'd be more insightful if it were A liberal white woman and a conservative white woman or a Conservative black man and a Liberal black man

Edit: [Corrected “Las” to “Los” above]. And I didn’t expect my comment to blow up like this. I’ve written plenty of comments I think were clever but this wasn’t one of them. So either my understanding of what’s Clever isn’t very mainstream, or YouTube has been doing a lot of shadowbanning/removal that I’m not aware of.

The girl being from ND and the guy being from LA threw me off, but as soon as I noticed that he was wearing a Carhartt hoodie, I immediately knew he was Republican. The girl’s attire also aligns with more liberal fashion than republican fashion.

This isnt the best way to study this imo. You have multiple other differences besides political affiliation affecting their brains, with gender and ethnicity being a couple. The best way to study this would be to try to negate every other variable besides political affiliation.
