Ben Freeman, AFTD Development & Communications Director, and Keri Allen, AFTD volunteer and care partner, introduce day two of AFTD's 2021 Education Conference, which begins with a presentation from Dr. Chiadi Onyike. A recent review of cross-cultural perspectives in FTD by Dr. Onyike noted that while valuable knowledge has been gained from studies describing FTD distribution in many regions of the world, there is still much to learn. Here, he shares insights from this review and discusses the need to expand our understanding of FTD from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic perspectives.
