Speaking of DnD in space, I know you've been reviewing Valda's, but I'd also recommend Mage Hand Press's Dark Matter book that has a sci-fantasy theme. There's a lot of discontent around the recent Spelljammer release, so I've been recommending this anytime I can 'cause it does just have a ton of content including new character options, monsters, ship combat mechanics, etc.

Not even half the cost, but by far more crunch than the entire Spelljammer boxset combined.

Astral Adventure’s Guide some points:

Hadozee have had the changes to them 1)Glide says you must be 10 feet above ground now 2)Due to racism concerns linked to one picture, all pictures featuring them have been removed 3)The background info has reverted to mostly be that of the UA removing the slavery stuff from them.

Trikreen make great soul knives.

Astral Elf works very well for many expressly for spellcasters as they can to and still cast a spell.

The book is VERY LIGHT on combat, solid movement and logistics rules for the spelljammer. It is even missing a real feeling for why the players would spelljam as opposed to just teleporting. (Also the helm is weird for artificers to make).

I still love the setting but I feel like I need to write another 60 page book to make it viable unlike things like the Radiant citadel.

Good review of Spelljammer. The new races seem interesting. The DM for my group purchased the book but was very disappointed overall. As I have not read it, I cannot comment on the specifics. However, I saw another commented on hearing concerns. Appreciate the feedback.

With the thri-kreen making an appearance, that might pave the way for Dark Sun

I`ll make an autognome bladesinger who was built to learn recipies from all cornes of space. His tusk is an automatic mage armor and I would need dex for bladesinging. He is a master with his knife inside and outside the kitchen.

No one is actually using the Hadozee glide that way.

I'm surprised they didn't make Reigar playable. I don't have much against Ardlings, but it just seemed like a better antithesis or counterpart to Tieflings or a more Celestial version of Aasimar.
