I agree with all of this - thank you! The one caveat in my opinion is don't speak slowly from Intermediate level and up. They need to be prepared to understand English in an everyday setting and they will be shocked and overwhelmed when they hear English outside the classroom at its natural speed, and I think speaking to them unnaturally slowly is not teaching them to communicate in English, instead it is teaching them to only understand English from an ESL teacher. Definitely good to strike a balance!
