Building a VueJS app - Part 1 - Getting Started

In this vlog/tutorial, I explore VueJS, Vue Router, and VueX to create a simple video player app.

I've been a Javascript coder for many years (mostly EmberJS, as you'll see from the example data in the app), but I haven't built a VueJS app beyond the Hello World stage before. My challenge today was to get as far as I could in building the app in this new-to-me framework. Along the way I share every step I take and everything I learn, as well as the stuff that surprised me.

You're really good at giving tutorials. The way you lay a solid foundation so new comers understand what is going on is what is missing from all the other tutorials out there. It's nice to get something working quickly but then you can't extend on it because you have no idea what you just did. You go the opposite direction and teach a man/woman to fish. Bravo!

Hi Jeff, just started following along on your journey, great start BTW.
At 24:00 you show a problem of binding a class of 'video-box' on the div with the v-for in-it, I'm also unsure as to WHY you had problems, but since I'm using vue/cli-rc4, I assume it might have been a bug 🐛 in your -rc-3vr ....BUT I tryed it on the v-for Div & all works fine.
