Remember the DEBT mnemonic:

Damage- BSZ did not damage St. Traft.
Equip/Enchant- It didn't enchant him.
Block- Doesn't even apply here.
Target- Black Sun's Zenith doesn't target anything.

So, since it doesn't fit into any of those categories, protection doesn't apply.

It's a feature match. You gotta win your first 2 to get a chance to be at table 1 for game 3 and win your first 3 to be at table 1 game 4 to be recorded.

You can target the player and then redirect the damage to the planeswalker and so reduce the planeswalker's loyality.

"Protection" does not save from a Black Sun's Zenith. It does not target or do damage.

I think it's rather hilarious that neither of these decks got to do what they wanted to do. Delver never flipped, and a tezzeret never came out.

Granted the Spine/Core did tons of work, and not to mention the Black Suns, but still. No tezz.

i like the tezzeret deck. It seems to have alot of answers at the right times, although i dont know why he was not putting counters on the rachet bomb

It is target creature or player so he chooses a player to do 1 damage to and redirects it to Liliana.

Cause flipped Delver is CMC 0. As are angel tokens, and spirit tokens. He doesn't really need the rachet for anything else, so he just leaves it there.

I'm a drafter and I came 2nd at my store's AVR Game Day with a deck I made myself. Serious question, how do you guys film this? Is there a mounted camera over a table? Do you ask to film or do people volunteer or is it like a featured match deal?
