When I was 15 I lived in Auburn Ca when they filmed Phenomenon. I was one of the “ kids” they had walking around at the beginning of the movie when Travolta & Sedgwick where talking by her truck. I got $250 bucks & got to meet both of them. Pretty cool at the time. Now I’m 40. Over the last 20 years my kids would tell people their mom was in the movie, when people would say prove it they’d bet money & of course would win. At least one of us was still making money from the movie 🤗😂❤️

One day I pulled out a picture of my mother’s old boyfriend, who we’re still in touch with as he’s my older brothers dad, and I went “is that Robert Redford?!” Turns out they were friends. His sister was his secretary for a long time.

An IT teacher who used to work at my high school (in Australia) is best friends with JK Rowling and his family were the inspiration behind the Weasley family. Our class had him as a substitute and no one believed him until he googled himself and showed us articles written about him. He went to uni with her and their families are very close. All these places in the movies and books are based on actual places they hung out together while at uni or were important to their families. He showed us all the places on google maps and why they were special to them. Also told us stories like how he went on Johnny Depp's yacht with her. Best. Lesson. Ever.
