This is so cool! Although I was raised in all genres, my primary focus and love being progressive rock, I was raised on jazz– not rock!! This is the kind of thing I like to do in the upper registers of my 5-string bass guitar life above the 12th!

jazz sounds like a beginner just noodling trying to solo without knowing anything about soloing and still in the phase of playing smoke on the water and 7 nation army riff lol

Where the heck does a C# fit in with a Dmin7 chord? It makes no sense! If the pianist actually hit the chord during this solo, it would be two notes, a semitone apart, and it would sound like chalk on a chalkboard, if that chalkboard was smashed over your head after a night of heavy drinking in Amsterdam, after you caught a red eye flight, and you haven’t slept in 42 hours. That’s what those two notes would sound like. 🎵
