Palmier cookies are super easy to make with only 3 ingredients which makes them light, crispy, flaky cookies. Quick to make and perfect for group gathering. They are also known as elephant ears, French hearts.
Ingredients
1 frozen puff pastry sheet
4 Tbsp Melted Butter
1 Cup Sugar
Direction
· Take a frozen puff pastry sheet by using a rolling pin to make it a rectangle shape.
· Brush the butter (room temperate) all over the pastry and sprinkle the sugar evenly on the pastry, then with the help of rolling pin roll the pastry, this will press the sugar into the pastry.
· Flip the sheet and repeat the process again of butter, sugar, and rolling pin.
· Now tightly roll the sheet from one side till the middle and bring it to the center as shown in the video.
· Wrap the log into the plastic wrap and keep it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
· After that remove the plastic wrap, cut the pastry into a slice of 1 cm, and place them on the baking sheet.
· Bake them in a preheated oven at 425F for 12 minutes but flip them after 6 minutes or until the sugar gets caramelized and gets golden brown.
· Store them in an airtight container.
