Here is how their relationship went down:

- Izzy kills members of his family(clan) and even though that’s what she feels she had to do (and I respect that) she wasn’t sad or remorseful of their deaths, in fact she was happy. She even told Clary that she shouldn’t be sad about having to kill a vampire. Even though Clary’s killing was DEFINITELY necessary as opposed to Izzy and Alec’s which was kind of fuzzy, Clary was right to try to mourn the vampire before Izzy made her feel happy about it.

- After Izzy saved her friends by breaking a hole in the wall (which could have easily killed more vampires, but she was smug about it and not regretful at all. Yes, it was what she had to do, but she didn’t treat it that way, she treated it as if she enjoyed it) she talked down to Raphael from a place of privilege. She echoed his words from before, but it’s different when it’s coming from someone associated with the oppressors rather than someone oppressed.

- Raphael saves her life and she repays him by manipulating him into doing something he did not want to do.

- She arranges another meeting with him, fully intending to use him again, willing or not. This is clear because he had said the first time would be the last time. She knew that she would probably have to manipulate him again.

- When Raphael refused multiple times and was clearly not going to be manipulated anymore, she literally forced him by cutting herself. She took away his consent and made him an addict. Actually, he already was an addict, once you are one you never stop being one. She made him hooked again without his consent which is so disgusting I get sick thinking about it.

- He tells her about his addiction and how he managed to escape it. He tells her stuff she didn’t deserve to hear, and makes it clear he wouldn’t want to be that person again, but she doesn’t really care and helps him feed his addiction so she can feed hers.

- When her brother attacks Raphael, she let’s Raphael take the blame. She tells Alec to leave, but she still makes it seem like Raphael is the one at fault when it was him who wanted her to get help and her manipulating and then forcing him to feed her addiction until he was addicted and could no longer stop himself.

- When he doesn’t want to kiss her, she tries again and tells him to, instead of asking why he didn’t want to kiss her. I don’t think this falls under abuse, but if someone doesn’t want to do something, don’t tell them to do it.

- Raphael prevents Izzy from finding out that her family and friends are in trouble.

- After Izzy used him repeatedly, she abruptly cut ties with him, knowing he believed himself to have feelings for her, without letting him explain himself or apologize for his actions.

Basically all of it disgusted me.
