Показать описание
In Calculus, we find the volumes of TWO solids of revolution by integration for the region between y=x^2 and y=x^3 for x between 0 and 1 and y between 0 and 1. For the first solid we rotate about the horizontal line y = -1, and for the second solid we rotate about the vertical line x = -1. So we are not rotating about the x- and y-axes themselves. We use both a Riemann sum and an infinitesimal approach to deriving the integrals.
