quit telling them you have a camera! Someone did this to me in Texas, and I said nothing. Their insurance paid big and dropped her entirely. (added a comment for more details for haters and skeptics)

Rule number 1 of having a dash cam, don't tell the other person you have a dash cam. Wait until they file a false report with police and then tell everyone you have a dash cam.

Third break light malfunction or has been deliberately disabled. That's going to show up on the BMW dash, btw. Didn't see brake lights when he pulled over. Reverse light doesn't come on so he's either in neutral/clutching and this is on a slight upgrade or reverse lights were also disabled.

This is totally not an insurance scam.
There's no way a guy with a well kept E92 M3, with a personalised S65 plate, is just randomly damaging his car like this in order to get the cost of a rear diffuser from his insurance... considering all the paperwork and hassle involved.

He clearly just didn't have his e-brake on and rolled back without noticing.
He just free-wheeled back, he wasn't even in reverse.

He also wouldn't pull over and get out and continue the whole thing AFTER the guy said he had a camera.

Pretty solid scam. 99% of the time if you're rear ended insurance will side with you. Thankfully he had a backup camera.
