I have a cheap, a Purple, and a Cushion Lab. I take them from my car to the office, but I spend 3 days a week driving all day and my Purple cushion shrank from the heat in the summer. Before it shrank I still found it a bit narrow, but it was the best driving pillow. My Cushion Lab is great in any chair. It's quite thick for the car, so I ordered the car one on Black Friday. Depending on my back pain I do still substitute the cheap pillow in the rotation. I have 2 office chairs, 3 pillows, and a standing/electric desk.

It seems like a seat cushion would destroy the point of buying an expensive ergonomic office chair, unless the adjustments can keep you in the right posture even sitting a bit higher. Keep up the good work i literally made my office set up based off this channel so thanks!

I have a cheap IKEA office chair for$130 and have had terrible tailbone pain from sitting on it and I got the Waoaw cushion and it was awesome for the first couple of hours sitting on it but, It just wasn’t quite thick or long enough for me. I upgraded to the Large Cushion Lab seat and OMG it is perfect! No pain at all no matter how long I sit. I am 6ft 220lbs and it holds my weight just fine.

I can personally attest to everything you say about the Purple Double Seat cushion. I initially bought mine when we were moving cross country back in late 2020 and my car's seats were making my butt and tailbone really tired (if that makes sense). I saw the Purple cushions at a Loves Travel Stop and decided to pick it up. Initially, it was amazing and a godsend, but, as you point out, the warmer it was the squishier it would feel. That was passable in my car's relatively fixed bucket seats but as soon as I moved it to my office chair, the issues with squish and the gel's malleability really presented themselves.

I'm planning on picking up the Cushion Lab cushion for my desk chair and will keep the Purple on hand for future road trips.

Great video!

I wish the chair manufacturers would just add better padding in the first place. This product is just a sign that the manufacturers aren't doing their job properly. It seems like there is a massive gap in the chair market that someone could swoop in and make good money from.

I have Purple cushion too. It is comfortable to sit on, but like you said, an hour or so into it you start to sink, and if you lean back in your chair, eventually the cushion starts to shift forward in the seat and then my butt ends up being halfway on the cushion and the chair, it is an extremely annoying feature. I may give Cushion Lab a try.

Sitting for too long always made my legs numb, but an orthopedic seat cushion has helped with circulation. Big difference!

Awesome review. The sliding feel to the gel cushion when you lean back and how it reacts to temperature changes is a deal breaker for me. The whole point of cushion is to provide controlled support, not to get you into awkward position when you least expect it.

Great review! Appreciate it very much. I went with the Cushion Lab and it is fabulous, except for the very back part that curves up, as you'd mentioned. I just scoot forward a bit so that part isn't quite touching me... otherwise it throws off my posture a bit and causes me some low back pain. But, otherwise, it is perfect. Many thanks to you for your review!

Imagine spending hundreds of dollars on a office chair and then having to use a pillow for it to be comfortable.

Great review. Already wasted 30 bucks on the cheap version. Struggling with a gaming chair atm. You called it bottoming out. I have that issue when sim racing. My legs are elevating causing my tailbone to become the point of contact in the seat. So trying to find a pad that supports my thighs in a racing position. that is why car seats are so heavily tilted back and not flat like a desk chair.

Thanks for saving me the return process on the purple! I'll try the Cushion Lab. 6'2" 200lbs using Steelcase Leap V2.

for those with no money use 2 cushions slightly at an angle. leaving a gap at the back for the tailbone

I paid $70 thinking it was worthwhile and it was nothing special at all. The trick is to return it I had to pay $40 to UPS. They offered me a refund less $26. So, I paid $26 for a cushion worth $18. Oh it was from Cushion Lab! But, I had gone direct and did not see it on Amazon

I have a Purple Royal seat cushion. It doesn't help my tailbone pain.

I've always wondered if they help people sit cross legged more comfortably. A lot of the chairs I aspire to get have a hard material contour like the Aeron. It was the main reason why I didn't buy a Mirra 2. A seat cushion might make the overall seat more flat and your legs not so up against the contours.
