Soldering is a skill you can learn and the best way to do so is to just do it! The more I work with solder, the more comfortable I get and I am happier with the results on my glasswork. But I can always learn more techniques and tricks so if you've got them, share them in the comments so we can all benefit!

So, when you do the dots of soldering, do you put flux those spots before you put the dots on? Thank you for all these great videos - I am a new maker

Hello, I'm a fairly new stainedglass artist, and I continue to run into a problem. when I'm soldering my edges after doing the front and back, the front and back solder lines starts to drip towards the edges, I go back and fix the front/back, and it bubbles onto the edges again. I can't seem to figure out where I'm going wrong, is my iron too hot perhaps? Also I apologize if that made no sense!

can you explain how you put the silver wire looking thing and the solder together ?? do you do that for every line ?? are you melting the wire and that is what is dripping on the piece to glue them together??

I was wondering about the dangers of lead poisoning? I keep finding different information. I wear a respirator while soldering but I just read that you should also take off the clothes you had on while soldering immediately and you need to get special lead-removing soap and detergent for your showers and laundry. This seems like so much work and extra money I almost want to quit stained glass all together!
