Several Indonesians have been left penniless by so-called shamans who claim they can magically multiply money. Some alleged scammers have reportedly killed victims who have asked for their money back after realising they’ve been robbed. Indonesian police have arrested a trio who face the death penalty if found guilty of scamming and murder.

Honestly im shocked how come people still fell to this scheme where in 2018 where Dimas Kanjeng, notorious shaman that also promised same thing found murdered his own followers who asked for their promised money

Spiritual or religious person, yet intentionally let her greed for wealth to rule over her head so she doesn't care about earning money honestly and want to multiply her money through evil ways. Karma bites her greedy back, so no pity for her. Majority of the world are poor or middle to lower class, yet not all of them want to earn money through evil&dishonest ways like jinxes. Because you let greed rules your heart, and you want to cheat instead of working sincerely for your money, you reap the bad fruit of your intention&deeds. Be thankful you're not murdered by that shaman- repent and start working to earn money honestly.

10% poverty rate is made by Indonesian government. The actual rate according to World Bank standard is 40%. If you look at the proportion of people got free healthcare insurance from Government (BPJS-PBI) is about 100 million people (40% of the population) so the 40% estimated by World Bank is an accurate number.

People are so harsh to judge others because of a difference in culture or etc. how is a belief in magic or other such spiritual beliefs different than Christianity, where Christians believe Jesus was resurrected after death? I’m not trying to demean anybody’s beliefs, just that things can sound ridiculous to us, I also think it sounds ridiculous, but that shouldn’t stop us from feeling sympathy to those who have suffered. Those who get tricked by cults or other such organizations often have strong reasons that draw them into something like that in the first place, you may think you would never fall victim to anything so ridiculous, but you may be surprised.
