Welcome back to UEBS 2! Today we test one of the most ruthless combat styles in military history, the musket line vs modern day soldiers. What will win? Numbers or Tactical Prowess? Time to find out!

Modern faction / modern soldiers can skirmish backwards while and shoot whilst moving so if you put them on attack I think they'd stand much more of a chance against some of the enemies especially considering they can sidestep bullets kind of.

Baron the modern soilders are actually the best ranged unit in the game they just need to be out in attack mode so they can freely move because the modern soilders ai allows them to retreat and even dodge projectiles

.556 is reffered to as an "intermediate cartridge", although calling it a rifle caliber isn't incorrect, as the bullet shape is a rifle caliber, with a pointed tip, as opposed to the rounded tips of a pistol caliber.

The musket caliber is 12, 4 mm a 50. cal 12, 7mm the big difference is the powder.
A 50 bmg’s cartridge contains a lot more and better gun powder making the bullet go way faster. E0 (Energy of the bullet at the muzzle)

So according to the stats in the unit customizer, Modern Soldier only has 20 more range and otherwise identical stats to the American Assault Soldier from WWII.

The muskets' effective range is less than 100 meters, and can fire at most 6 shots a minute.
The modern rifles are effective up to 500 meters, and can fire full auto.
So which side will win?

9:30 the modern combat soldiers are losing to the French muskets because they don’t have that rear sight on their fully-sem automatic.

Loved the video @BaronVonGames! Can't wait for the next video man! Here's a Battle Idea for you: Put the French Army of the Napoleonic Era (Grande Armeé) against a Task Force from the Modern American Army.

Background: a Badly Mauled Division of the French Grande Armeé takes reserve Status in a Desert Town after coming back from a Fight with a Mysterious Army with "Muskets that can fire Lightning Bolts powerful enough to wipe out entire Armies". The Division was sent through a Gate that Transported them to the Modern Era with 10, 000 Men and after about 6 hours of Impromptu Combat, Retreated with about 3, 000 Men. However, Rumor has it that a Select Company of Men (140 Men) had taken several of the Locals Prisoner and were supposedly planning on selling them as Servants after they had finished questioning them and were holding up in a Nearby Village. The Next Morning hadn't actually even come, as Bright Flashes in the Night Sky Appeared over the Town where the Division's Remnants were Dug in. The Enemy had Followed them with Reasonable Force, and had Fired Star Shells to Light up the Area and Call out Targets for an Artillery Bombardment. The French Soldiers rush out of their Beds and Tents and into Defensive Positions, only to here the Ominous Whistles leading to the Unearthly Crescendo of Modern American Artillery.

Battle Set-up: The French Have 140 Men in the Smaller Village on a Desert Map and the Other 2, 860 Men in the Division's Remnants in the Large Town. The Modern American Military has sent a Task Force with An Entire Infantry Battalion (510 Men in 3 Companies of 170 Men; each Company has 4 Platoons of 41 Men and a Company HQ of 6 Men) supported by an Infantry Company Trained in AirCav Operations with UH-60M Black Hawk Helicopters and the Gunship Version, the MH-60L DAP (Direct Action Penetrator) providing Close Fire Support for the AirCav Troops, along with a Battery of 4 M777 155mm Howitzers and a Battery of 6 M109A6 Paladin's ready to call down Fire on the Enemy's Heads, And Further Support from a Small Company of 8 M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks (2 Tanks in the Company HQ and 2 Platoons of 3 Tanks) and 6 M3A3 Bradley Cavalry Fighting Vehicles as Recon (Again, 2 Platoons of 3 Tanks). The Battle, as Mentioned earlier, is Taking place at Night, so most of the French Troops will be around the Center of the Large Town getting some Shuteye as they Await for Replenishment and Brought back up to Strength.

.55 cal is small, the Brit’s had .75 cal, and the French had .69 cal muskets, the British could use captured .69 French ammo in their .75 muskets without problem, but the French had to melt down captured ammo to use, because British bullets wouldn’t fit

The musket's range in this game is ridiculous. The modern rifle can shoot way before a musket can accurately hit.
