I read VALIS in my late-teens and almost had a breakdown. I literally had to stop reading it for a couple of weeks until my brain could cope.

I started reading PKD when I was 17 I’m now 49. When I started reading his work in chronological order his vision of dystopian future’s was brilliant & yet disturbing. The way things are going now in 2024 in London I’m starting to feel PKD’s dystopian nightmares are actually becoming reality.

What amazing video! I was just telling my girlfriend how I'd discovered this new channel with only 500k subscribers and it was about to blow up..

Then I saw that you only had I am amazed. You're videos are of a MUCH higher quality than most I've seen while still being unique, and original in concept.

You've got a huge YouTube career ahead of you. I guarentee it. I'm glad I'll be able to tell everyone I was here when! Best regards - Kyle T.

Chronosynclastic infundibula are a Kurt Vonnegut invention, used in Slaughterhouse Five, not a PKD idea.

I've just finished VALIS today and came looking for others' reactions to it. That is one of the weirdest books I have ever read, but was also most enjoyable.

The Empire never ended.

Valis sits alongside Naked Lunch as one of the very few books that almost succeeded in detaching me from reality.

In 1977 he came to France to tell us his profound conviction complaining about the anti-intellectual mentality of his country. In Usa you got to know and appreciate him thanks to the cinema not before.

Valis is about PKD being a reincarnated Christian apostle. Good stuff

Should I have to get worried if these same things were happening to me?

I believe that the more you pay attention and act in faith to the prompting / vision, the better you will hear them.

The Black Iron Prison = the doom scroll.

Maybe.

I don't know.

I read this years ago. Very Eeerie and naval gazing. I found the themes intriguing, although honestly, I didn't understand a lot of it, some of it just went over my head. I decided to read it because Ben Linus from Lost (my favorite TV show at the time) was reading it. Maby I should pick it up again some day.
