I'm back!! Ah missed you all.. Well look, we have a new logo, new standards for content (hopefully I can keep this one up), and I am fired up about creating again. Read more below...

Honestly, I was just stuck in a spot where I really didn't know what I wanted to do with the channel. I didn't want to quit making videos, but neither did I want to feel obliged to creating just for the sake of "creating". Like I don't want to do it due to feeling forced to do it. I want to have fun, like when I first started up the channel!

I think this is a phase you go through as someone who makes content online - whether it is YouTube or something else. It can potentially be a very dangerous path too since it gets to your head and demoralizes you in your everyday life. I felt this pattern creeping up just before I decided to take a pause, which is when I pulled the trigger on the hiatus.

Also, it is VERY scary to take a long break - let alone *a* break - as a content creator. You fear that your community will die, people will think that YOU died, and it makes you feel like you are throwing everything you spent YEARS building into the trash bin. But, no. I don't see it that way anymore. And I don't want to. That's what makes you feel obliged to uploading even though you don't enjoy it anymore. That's not a force that "keeps you going" in the good sense, it's unhealthy and makes you feel miserable (literally). And look, if it happens that the views or whatever metric that's important on YouTube is not the same as before - fine, I'll take it. Because I much rather build back up instead of feeling down all the time.

Sorry for the long rant/vent session lol, but it feels good to get it out here. I also need to say, THANK YOU for your wonderful messages during my hiatus. A lot of people showed support, and THAT is a force that "keeps you going" in the good sense. Not the other one! Thanks guys, love you k bye

Glad you are back man, great to see you making this type of videos again. These are the reason I joined. Little tips and tricks newbies may not know about, or new features that all of us may not be aware of and showing us how to use them in this simple format.

BTW, it's great to see you back doing videos. Your videos are generally my go-to reference and I enjoy your practical approach. With regards to the Volumetric Clouds. I want to experiment with this in my game but I can't get them to appear at all. I am running 2021.2.0b4 with HDRP 12. Maybe I missing something in my setup? I only have HDRI or None in my Lighting/Environment tab. Perhaps this is my issue.

I switched the HDRP asset in project settings to use the Medium Quality asset provided in the HDRPDefaultResources folder. I then enabled Volumetric Clouds on the Medium Quality Asset, enabled Volumetric Clouds on the High Quality HDRP asset, then set the High Quality HDRP as my asset and it now works fine. Before, Unity was throwing the error about how Volumetric Clouds were not supported on the current HDRP Asset. Thanks for the help!

For anyone getting an error on the Add Override like I did:

"Try ensuring you have the quality level with the right HDRP asset selected. (it's in Project settings>Quality)"

That fixed it for me.
