Note that this was done as a quick video to answer someone's specific question and therefore it is not done in the style of a true tutorial where I explain things more. If you want to do this as a print and cut, you must fill the text with pattern or colour, otherwise there will be nothing to print. Silhouette will not print the cut lines, only the fill.

Can I use these instructions to insert my own text into any shape that is saved as an .svg file or does this only apply when you are creating a shape from within the software like your rectangle?
