Last night was the second time I've had to change this stupid thing out, and your video helped me again to remember where all the bolts were and doing the change from the top. I get a kick out of all the people who are like "just change it from the bottom" assuming that everyone can easily just jack the car up wherever and whenever they need to.

Watched several videos-this is the best on location so far.

I just replaced mine, getting to it wasn't the bad part. The bad part was feeling to make sure everything was right, only took about an hour (mid frustration beer).

This video really helped out and thanks for making it!

Thanks for taking the time to make this video! My wife has a 2016 Patriot and your video helped me change it out.

Thanks for the video. This was the only one that was actually helpful and showed or told me what i really needed to know.

Just finished changing mine on a 2015 . Dispite what people say, it is easier to change from the bottom.
Disconnect the battery.
Remove the nut from the top of the heat shield.
Place a jackstand under the passenger side of the vehicle just high enough so that you can remove the plastic pan that covers the engine.
Slide under the vehicle from the front until you can see the rear of the engine block.
Reach up and remove the 2 remaining bolts that hold the heat shield on.
Remove heat shield.
You are now able to remove the CSP sensor.
Don't let anyone tell you that you HAVE TO remove it from the top.
45 minutes and I was finished.
Just trying to help.

Was your Jeep stalling out intermittently? myn will run fine for weeks then out of nowhere it dies at a stop sign. then fires right back up. Iv heard this could possibly fix it. iv has done the spark plugs and air filter no codes. Hope this work lol

man good stuff getting your camera in there to show it lmao I just got to it but the angle is so hard...im going from the bottom without taking anything but the heat shield off. not just the sensor bolt.

I'm pretty sure those are the camshaft sensors. I've seen multiple videos saying that. Here's how I figured this out. There are 2 camshaft sensors and 1 crankshaft sensor. The camshaft sensors will be near the airfilter box side. Front one is the intake and the one in the video is the exhaust. I'm not 100% on the cranks location but from what I read it should be on the passenger side behind the engine block near the transmission and you can only access it from below the vehicle or by removing the right front tire and siding. It had me stumped all day long because of this video saying this was a crankshaft sensor. Basically my 2016 jeep would randomly stall and die then refuse to start back up for 5 or 6 key cycles and then would try and stall out when accelerating. Another thing it would do is check engine light and traction light came on and stayed on. When trying to start the jeep the key would stay in the on position and keep trying to turn over on its own till I removed the key. I unintentionally replaced both cam sensors thinking one was crank and now that I realize that it makes sense why there's no change in performance and infact it's worse now because the cam sensors need to be reprogrammed and as far as I can tell there's only 2 ways. With a computer and the other removing both battery cables and away from batter place the cables together for hours or over night but that one isn't 100%. This one video really fucked me.

Used this video for my repair after watching several others. .
If you are along side a highway with no lift/ jackstands/ or jack and only have a cheap set of metric sockets THIS is the way to go. Once you know what your feeling around for this method works.

Would you be able to go from under the car??

If you already have the exhaust manifold out like I do, there is no need to remove anything else. Lol!
