I have really enjoyed the mistresses series. Where king’s didn’t see their wives as nothing more than a “must have” they were easily manipulated by their mistresses showing just how weak the kings really were. Such an excellent series, Jon!

Her end was tragic indeed.She could be heard shrieking and sreaming as shecwas led to the guillotine, it was a blood curdling scream that sent shivers to alot of people in attendance that bore witnesses to her exacution.Very sad, she was a good woman and helped people, didnt abuse her powers, but used them to help others, including intervening on their behalf to the king.RIP madame du Barry comtess Bucu.❤

Yes she was putting Jeopardy when she lost her legal protection but keep in mind Louie the 16th and Marie Antoinette who did have legitimate Regal status were also beheaded and their son was beaten to death
