Nice that saves a little bit of now if only there was a faster way for the server queues to move along too :) (PS - I know there is VIP which is faster - but im just a normal everyday player and sometimes those queues can hang for so long)

Didn't work for me and won't let me play the game now. "Failed to open descriptor file." Wouldn't advise anyone to do this. You're only saving 30 seconds. Tough through it.

You would think they would allow -novid like a normal game.
Maybe valve should make it work on every game.
I've usually just done this with deleting the movie files.
