Wow. I’m a lady of 77. I know exactly what you are conveying in this video. I started making cloth dolls in the late 70’s early 80’s. After awhile I took classes to make porcelain dolls. I got so into it that by the 90’s I owned my own doll studio. I taught doll making sold supplies and I just lived and breathed doll making. Porcelain doll making involves heavy plaster molds and a kiln. I’m too old to lift that equipment now. Recently discovered reborn dolls and I’m in love. So I watch all these videos and am trying to get into buying and starting a collection. About people, they are stupid. I can’t understand drinking, Drug taking and smoking. But I don’t talk down to those people. You go girl. Dolling is a great life.

I feel kinda bad that I’m in one of those smaller groups. As in I have mental disabilities that prevent me from becoming and/or being a good parent AND I have my own sense of loss… and my dolls do help me deal with that. Because it is a shame that those people are finding any who are in any way similar to myself and assuming everyone in the hobby is like this.

Well said! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I agree with everything you just explained. And I have been over the whole sensationalism of our hobby ever since being a part of that ridiculous Guardian piece a few years ago. They promised to do our hobby justice, only to turn around and make everything I said creepy! 🤬 I’m still angry about the whole thing. It really is about views, attention they can gain, and the money they can make off of their spin on the hobby. There are a handful of doll collectors with big channels out there adding fuel to the fire as well and why? All for views and to capitalize on it. I’m not sure who said that doll collecting should be illegal, but that is mind blowing to me! 🤯 That level of ignorance is beyond crazy to me! Wow! This was a great chat! Yes I agree well said. People need to just back off and just let us have our hobby and enjoy our hobby. We are no different then anybody else that has a hobby.

I started using reusable cloth diapers instead of disposable because I didn’t want to add to the landfill. I don’t change my dolls diapers very often. For formula, I use powdered coffee creamer if I want a bottle for a prop. You just have to remember to toss it at the end of the day and wash the bottle.

I am 53 years old and I love my doll babies people might think I'm crazy but you know what I don't care they bring me happiness I am a mom of five children they are all grown and moved out of the home so I have that empty nest syndrome and my doll's help me to feel happy!! I love to sit and cuddle with my babies!!🥰💕

Well said l agree with you what you said l think people out there are crazy, everyone has a hobby but people don’t get on them. People can be very cruel in this world. I don’t understand why they can’t just leave the doll collector

My dad was so happy that I had dolls he said he was glad that I was that I had dolls and he thought of my dolls as his grandkids He's gone now but he loved him very much ♥️♥️

People just give up sometimes because they have bad reactions to dolls I haven't and to tell you the truth the reason why I have those is because I have autism and it helps my sister too because she gets migraines and it helps her calm her migraines and she loves them very much we love all our dolls people just don't understand

This video definitely covered the latest opinion of non-doll collectors in media. If these are the first opinions (proclaimed facts) that people learn about reborn dolls then we'll never been seen for what it is...a unique and very talented form of art. I recently came back from the KDS show and of course my coworkers wanted to know all about it. So I told them and answered their questions, giving facts. Their only response was "So what do people DO with them? Were their "creepers" at the doll show?" Insinuating that ped0philes are some how attracted to reborn dolls and the entire place was just filled with them. I am simply HORRIFIED. Especially since this doll show is a family friendly enviornment with mainly kids, teens and moms there to shop and learn about the art form. I wish people would really stop to think about what they are saying. Not understanding is one thing, but to simply not even TRY to learn the facts or refuse to listen to them is fault of their own. I am disgusted that anyone's first thought about reborn dolls would go there.

It's not illegal to collect newborn dolls they're just dolls they're cute and some people love them I don't care whether people say people are just lame and not very nice I've gone out a couple times me and my sister and when they take a look at Amber they love her and when they find out that she's not real they ask me where'd you get her from and I tell them I've had people that want the same one I usually don't get a bad reaction to my newborn dolls me and my sister don't but sometimes we do but you know what I don't care what other people say if people have problems with newborn dolls that's their problem not mine

I think if people want to use real items for their reborn, then it's okay. They are not taking away resources from real babies, we don't live in a 3rd world country where children are actually starving to death from lack of food and clothes. There is so much waste in America with the fast food restaurants, ect. They throw food away by the tons and they won't even fed a homeless person on the streets.

Watchong horror movies with dolls is creepy. It's something I wouldn't do. So, the people thinking reborn babies are creepy, they are the creepy ones in my opinion for watching horror movies.

The majority of people in this world have hobbies that are not clean or healthy. They spend a lot of money on junk. Examples include, porn, drugs, prostitutes, cigarettes, vaping, video games, and the list goes on and on.

I personally have loved dolls since I was a child. I love old dolls, Walmart dolls, and reborn dolls.

I think people should mind their own business. My daughter is now 11 and I started buying her reborns a few years ago. Like you said about using real formula, we don’t do that and the diapers we use are baby doll diapers. It’s just something for them to complain about.
