Skyrim Just Got Yet Another New Update

Today we take a look at yet another new update for Skyrim. This update brings a variety of fixes for Skyrim: Anniversary Edition, including the persistent black screen issue. Sadly, this update also seems to have led to some mods breaking.

Man, was so happy Bethesda fixed the black screen issue. All things considered, they fixed it pretty quickly

I'm so happy they finally fixed the black screen issue. I'd been playing on PS5 with no mods and it still happened to me.

Yeah, uninstalled whole thing well before Anniversary dropped just due to expecting all these steady fixes and errors to drop. Gonna wait out the storm. Thanks for keeping us apprised of the weather, as it were.

I really, really wish AE was its own install like SE was. I've heard lots of excuses for why they didn't separate them, but none of them change the fact that I'd playing Skyrim RIGHT NOW if not for this forced update. A forced update for paid mods I don't own or ever plan to own, with patches that will continue to break mods for months. This is exactly what made me hate Creation Club to begin with.

4:12 be careful when renaming folders,
mod managers tend to have problems finding gamefolders if you rename them.
I had the problem with Vortex but what I did was 'unrename' it and all was fine again

I only had CC Creation installed when I got the black screen glitch twice. First time I thought it was Hadvar when he followed me to Whiterun and I tried to fix the glitch, but then I reloaded my game and I got the black screen.

I play on Xbox and prior to this patch I couldnt load into a save when I had Serana Dialogue Add-On installed. Just a black screen. Now everything works perfectly 👌🏽

It still has the bug where Dawnfang and Duskfang uninstalls itself before you turn the game on and tells you the add-on needs to update.

Man I rolled back spent hours modding and turned off auto updates and still got the update. I rolled back and it seemed to work but a lot of textures were broken. Had to completely restart!!!

Im so bummed, i got a new pc for the first time in 13 years… and Skyrim explodes! Now i guess I’ll try again in a couple months

Yes, please, more Skyrim AE mod videos. Playing vanilla and having more fun then expected since Im usually more of a Fallout fan but AE got me interested in Skyrim again but Im really trying to avoid mods until they get them fixed and I was really hoping that you would be covering this topic in the future. Its not like theyre is anything to talk about in Fallout 4 or 76.

The black screen bug happened for me when i tried to add wearable lanterns. Inigo has been working fine long before i got the bug for me.

The 0kb bug also occurs in fallout 4, or at least it did for me. I wonder if (although unlikely) they might look into fixing it there as well.

SKSE was actually updated within a couple of hours of the game update and works just fine now.
Didnt see anyone else mentioning it so thought I would just point it out.
